Disable TLS1.0

Home > Blog > Disable TLS1.0

To prevent data that is transmitted over the web from being intercepted and read, this data is encrypted via the HTTPS protocol. Since the requirements of this protocol are ever higher, there are several versions of which TLS1.0, TLS1.1 and TLS1.2 are still common. Modern operating systems and browsers support the most recent protocol, but older systems fall back on the older protocols.

Recently TLS1.0 is no longer considered safe enough. We therefore intend to disable this protocol on our servers on the 1st of March. As a result, Formdesk and your forms will no longer work if one of the following systems is used:

  • Android 4.3 (until 2013)
  • IE7 on Windows Vista (until 2008)
  • IE10 on Windows 7 (until 2015)
  • IE10 on Windows Phone 8.0 (until 2011)
  • Java 7u25 (until 2013)
  • OpenSSL 0.9.8y (until 2010)
  • Safari 5.1.9 on OS X 10.6.8 (until 2011)
  • Safari 6.0.4 on OS X 10.8.4 (until 2013)
