The PDF generator is one of the most popular features in Formdesk. This has caused an increased need for more control when setting up the PDF document. Therefore we decided to install a new, more sophisticated PDF generator.
New PDF documents will automatically be using the new PDF generator and have the extra features.
Existing PDF documents will first be using the old PDF generator because your PDF document might show small differences with the new generator. When you edit a PDF document that was created with the old PDF generator, you can choose to switch over to the new PDF generator. You can directly see how your PDF document will look using the new generator and you will be able to make changes if you wish.
We strongly recommend to do this for all your PDF documents for which an exact layout is of great importance! After you store the PDF in the new PDF generator, you will not be able to return to the old one.
Benefits of the new PDF generator:
- You can specify a paper size
- ‘Fit to width’ feature
- ‘Fit to one page’ feature
- Generating PDF documents will be a lot faster, especially if they are large
BE AWARE: As of the 1ste of February 2014 all PDF documents will be created by the new PDF generator!
